How I orient to Therapy

I believe humans have an innate propensity for growth, and have the strength and ability to overcome challenges. I am a holder of hope, and offer my clients deep compassion, along with steady and direct guidance. Drawing from attachment based, and experiential modalities, I begin therapy by fostering the therapeutic relationship. I support my clients in exploring their inner worlds, and facilitate new ways to engage with themselves and others, and to allow the depth of connection and freedom they seek.

I have experience working with a broad range of concerns: depression, anxiety, grief and loss, existential crisis, relationship conflict, parenting, infidelity, family planning, ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, sexual concerns, divorce/separation, trauma, religion and spirituality, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, chronic pain and illness, disordered eating, body image, guilt and shame, identity exploration, self-esteem, boundaries, personal growth, life transition, therapy for therapists.

I believe that each person’s blueprint is unique, and therefore, I am committed to understanding your particular experience of what you bring into the room as well as your unique strengths and resources.

I strive to provide a non-judgmental, compassionate, supportive, and positive therapeutic environment that encourages growth and healing. I believe clients know themselves best and will support an organic unfolding and discovering of internal wisdom.

I believe problems occur in context and bring to my approach an understanding of social justice and socio-cultural considerations. I work to bring equity into the relationship(s) in the room, and the social systems in which they exist.

My practice is trauma informed, (continuously learning) anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, sex positive, kink-aware, body/fat positive, polyam friendly, and pro-disability justice.
